ODI points
The ODI points table differs from T20 in three places: there is no dot-ball deduction, the strike-rate threshold for impact-player deductions is lower, and milestones (fifty, century) carry slightly lower bonus values. The captain and vice-captain multipliers are unchanged.
Test points
Test points add several rows unique to the format: five-wicket haul bonuses, run-out direct hit bonuses, and a different strike-rate threshold for impact deductions. Most platforms publish a Test-specific table inside their contest rules.
Variations between platforms
Every platform tweaks the points table slightly. Dream11, My11Circle and MPL all use the same basic T20 structure but differ on impact-player thresholds, captain multipliers and bonus caps. Always verify the points table inside your contest before lock-in.
Captain and vice-captain multipliers
Captain = 2× across every major platform. Vice-captain = 1.5× across every major platform. These multipliers are non-negotiable and apply to every fantasy point the player earns, including negative deductions.
Frequently asked questions
Which platform has the most generous points table?
All major platforms use roughly the same T20 table. Differences are usually in impact-player thresholds, milestone bonuses and the captain multiplier. Read each platform's contest rules before settling on one.
Are negative points common?
Yes. Duck penalties for top-order batters, dot-ball penalties for bowlers in T20, and impact-player thresholds that deduct points for low strike rates. A player who scores 5 off 12 balls with no boundaries can finish the match in negative points.
Does the captain multiplier apply to negative points?
Yes. A captain who scores a duck is deducted 4 points (2 × −2). This is one of the highest-variance moments in fantasy cricket.
